Product: ANIMAL BLOOD MEAL
Description: Blood Meal is a finely ground protein residue derived from mostly raw poultry blood with a small amount of pork blood, excluding all extraneous material such as hair, stomach belchings and urine except in such traces as might occur unavoidably in good manufacturing process.

Analysis:
Guaranteed Typical
Protein (Min.) 85% 92%
Moisture (Max.) 10% 6%
Pepsin (Min) 98%

Processing: The process is made up of a two stage coagulator and Stord Bartz roto disc dryer continuous system. It has the ability to process approximately 8,000 pounds of raw blood per hour. The blood is pumped through the 1st stage operating at 30 psi and then through the 2nd stage where the temperature is controlled at about 210° F. The blood is then pumped through a centrifuge where the water is removed and the meal then falls into a roto disc steam dryer, where the dryer runs at about 40 psi which would mean a temperature of about 266° F for 1 hour. When the meal leaves the dryer it is put through a hammer mill and the pneumatically conveyed to an outside harvester.
