facilities have HACCP accreditation and are permitted by
the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Recycling Process and Products
Used cooking oil is filtered, sterilized and tested to produce useful
products. These products include feed fat, which is
used as an energy ingredient in animal feed rations; and
commercially approved biodiesel, a cleaner burning alternative fuel.
West Coast Reduction's fleet of trucks is one of the
largest fleets in Western Canada that operates on its
very own biodiesel fuel blends.
West Coast Biodiesel,
a division of West Coast Reduction Ltd., stores, markets
and distributes biodiesel in Western Canada. In 2006,
West Coast Biodiesel distributed over 35 million litres
of biodiesel in Western Canada – the equivalent of
removing the CO2 exhaust of over 3,200 cars from our
roads and environment.

West Coast Reduction's computerized truck dispatching system
ensures that used cooking oil is picked up in a reliable
and timely manner. A fleet of specially designed trucks
and a team of experienced drivers provide unsurpassed
service. West Coast Reduction can pick up used cooking
oil year round, regardless of weather or temperature.
Bins and drums are provided to customers free of
charge. These bins and drums are regularly checked
and fully serviced once a year.
