Based at our Plant on the Port of Vancouver, we have multiple openings for the role of Tallow (Technical Process) Operator. As an integral part of the department, this position is a full-time, 40 hours per week role. Ideal shifts will be either Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Thursday.

Responsibilities:

  • Pump tank cars or tank truck loads into the designated storage tanks as per Company procedures

  • Prepare rail cars and tank cars for pumping by making all necessary equipment connections

  • Load and unload tanker trucks containing raw materials or finished goods

  • Operate polishing and bleach systems

  • Maintain a daily work log

  • Maintain cleanliness around all areas of the site

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Have flexible availability to work the following shifts: Wednesday to Sunday or Saturday to Thursday

  • Previous experience in a production environment or similar industry an assset

  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to safety standards and operating procedures

  • Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment up to 50lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance

  • Adept at taking accurate measurements, handling of analytical, sampling and measurement equipment

  • Fluent in English and able to communicate well with team members

  • Possess a valid driver's license preferred

  • 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate would be an asset.
