Class 5 Driver (Grease Trap Services) - Early Morning Shifts

We have an opening for full-time Class 5 Driver for Grease Trap Services at our Vancouver Plant. The Driver will be expected to visit multiple customer locations per shift. A typical work day involves several stops. Hands-on work is involved for some locations with early morning start times as an integral part of the job.

Accountabilities:

  • Drive assigned routes to service grease trap customers at local restaurants, franchisee customers and other industrial commercial kitchens

  •  Operate company equipment safely and responsibly

  • Empty trucks and fleet vehicles as required

  • Maintain tools and equipment

  • Conduct pre and post trip inspections; report issues related to vehicle maintenance, damaged equipment to Managers and Dispatch

  • Represent West Coast Reduction Ltd. in a friendly and professional manner at all times with due consideration for customers and the public

  • Perform other Plant or non-driving duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record; Class 3 driver’s license preferred

  • 1 to 2 years of commercial truck driving or similar environment an asset

  • Strong knowledge of Greater Vancouver neighbourhoods and surrounding areas

  • Knowledge and/or experience of vacuum truck pumps preferred

  • Flexible availability preferred for early morning shift starts

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others, including customers and the public

  • Ability to frequently move, carry, lift, push and pull equipment such as bin, lids and containers up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally greater with assistance

  • Capable of performing physical related job duties which involve repetitive lifting, kneeling, pulling and pushing
